Edoardo Iannuzzi

Mentor Circularity Ideathon

Edoardo Iannuzzi is a designer focused on sustainable fashion. He loves sneakers, and is the founder of ACBC, a revolutionary startup that commercialises modular and low impact shoes. His Industrial design studies at Politecnico di Milano culminate with a thesis on a shoe that could achieve new functions and an improved lifecycle efficiency thanks to the integration of a particular zip system, and after five years of research and development on zippers Edoardo publishes in 2017 the patent for the Modular Zip Shoe that is now ACBC: a water resistant and durable shoe comprised of detachable and interchangeable soles and uppers. The invention allows to create infinite shoes with one single sole, reducing significantly the user's environmental footprint and plastic impact from footwear use. ACBC has already 12 active mono-brand stores in 9 countries and collaborations with Moschino and Armani. In fact Edoardo's mission is to bring his sustainable technology across borders, from luxury to contemporary and casual brands, "if sustainability is not accessible, if it's stays in the world of luxury, it's not impacting as it should be", he says. His focus for future developments is to create products that are either 100% circular or 100% biodegradable, no compromise is accepted.

Silvia Giovanardi

Mentor Circularity Ideathon

Consistency is at the center of Silvia Giovanardi’s work as an eco-efficient fashion designer, painter, and photographer. Her philosophy promotes the return to the original meaning of fashion as a lifestyle. A modus vivendi that re-discovers, through art, the Beauty of Nature. For 6 years she had been working as the head of the menswear artistic office of Etro. In that period she evolved as a person and as a professional at the same time. Over the years, in order to follow the ideology she had since she was a child, which is a huge respect for mother nature, she realized that it would have been important to start making the difference by helping fashion not to be the second most polluting industry in the world anymore. This new awareness gave her the chance to humbly start a path related to the world of art and fashion, that could convey a message aimed to protect our world, becoming the manifesto of a new harmony, an empowering elegance. She’s now the creative director of the two innovative and sustainable focus design fashion startups she founded 4 years ago: SILVIA GIOVANARDI and WRÅD (she’s co-founder).
